Audric Estime

20-Year-Old Running BackRB
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Taken in the fifth round in the 2024 Draft, Estime joins a crowded Denver backfield that saw Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin all handle 100 or more touches last season. The Notre Dame product offers a physical, smash-mouth profile the others lack, giving him a clear path to a goal-line role, especially if the Broncos want to try and avoid more wear and tear on Williams' knees. Power backs such as Mark Ingram have thrived in Sean Payton's offense, so there is a template for success for Estime, but he'll need to beat out the competition first. Read Past Outlooks
More power in Denver backfield
RBDenver Broncos
April 27, 2024
The Broncos selected Estime in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 147th overall.
ANALYSIS
Estime is a load to bring down at 5-foot-11 and 221 pounds with a powerful anchor and physical running style. He played sparingly as a freshman before having his role expand in 2022 with 156 carries for 920 yards (5.9 YPC) and 11 scores. Estime truly took off as the starter in 2023 though, racking up 1,341 yards and 18 touchdowns on 210 carries (6.4 YPC). He was still available at this stage after posting a 4.71 in the 40 at the combine, but Estime has the skill and power to be an asset in the Broncos backfield eventually. Javonte Williams is still the starter and Estime is a bit redundant to him in terms of play style, plus the rookie lacks the pass-catching chops to carve out an alternative type of role. Samaje Perine is still on the roster for now and Jaleel McLaughlin impressed as a rookie, so while Estime is a nice addition for Denver, the Notre Dame product's fantasy projection is murky for 2024.

Could be top-3 RB in draft
RBFree Agent
April 1, 2024
Estime improved his draft stock with a strong pro day performance and could be one of the first three running backs selected in the 2024 Draft, Matt Miller of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Notre Dame product posted a disappointing 4.71 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the combine, but Estime redeemed himself with a time of 4.58 seconds at his pro day, which is more in line with expectations for the 5-foot-11, 221-pound bruiser. His power, patience and balance could make him a strong early-down contributor in an NFL backfield.
