Powers is set to enter the 2024 campaign on the second year of his four-year, $51.5 million contract he signed with the Broncos during the 2023 offseason. The veteran left guard appeared in all 17 games last season and was on the field for 99.5 percent of the team's offensive snaps. Both his availability and physical style as an effective run blocker make him an strong asset to the Denver offense hoping to take a big step forward in 2024.
Powers signed a four-year, $52 million deal with the Broncos this offseason after completing his fourth year in the league with the Ravens. Coming off a solid 2022 campaign, the veteran should start at left guard for Denver in 2023.
Despite playing significant snaps down the stretch in 2020, Powers will have to fight for a role this season. The Ravens brought in Kevin Zeitler in free agency and Ben Cleveland via the draft, adding more competition at guard. Powers projects to make the roster but locking down a starting role appears unlikely.
