2022 Fantasy Outlook
A 2020 third-round pick, Duvernay primarily functioned as a slot specialist and return man the past two years, but he now gets an opportunity to handle a larger role on offense after the Ravens traded Marquise Brown to the Cardinals. While that doesn't mean Duvernay will move out of the slot, it could mean more frequent targets and/or adding some snaps on the perimeter. On paper, he has the physical specs to make it work outside, having run a 4.39 40 at the 2020 Combine at 5-10, 200 pounds. The Ravens likely will add a veteran wideout at some point, but until then, they're looking at Duvernay, James Proche and Tylan Wallace as the top options behind presumed No. 1 WR Rashod Bateman. Building strength after injury
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Duvernay (foot) has been working hard and "kind of building his stamina back up" this spring.
ANALYSIS
Duvernay suffered a broken fifth metatarsal Dec. 20 and didn't resume running until the spring. He's been doing some on-field activities at the first few OTA sessions but still has limitations five months removed from the major injury. Duvernay averaged only 3.5 targets per game last season despite starting in 13 of his 14 appearances, and he's likely sliding down the depth chart after the Ravens added wideouts Odell Beckham, Zay Flowers and Nelson Agholor this offseason. Duvernay is still likely to return punts and kickoffs once he's healthy, and the players in front of him for reps on offense don't have the best track records for durability or reliability.

The second-year receiver faces added competition after the Ravens signed Sammy Watkins and drafted a pair of wideouts this offseason. However, Willie Snead's departure leaves over 400 slot snaps to fill in the Baltimore offense and Duvernay has a strong chance at earning a share of those. Duvernay showed flashes as a rookie with 20 catches for 201 yards on 26 targets. He showed 83rd percentile run-after-the-catch ability, which is backed up by his sub-4.4 speed. The Watkins and Rashod Bateman additions get most of the headlines, but fantasy managers should keep the speedy Duvernay on their radars as an in-season pickup with upside.
