2024 Fantasy Outlook
Judon suffered a torn right biceps Week 4 of last season, bringing his year to an early end after a strong start that included four sacks. He had 12.5 and 15.5 sacks his previous two seasons in New England, and he made it clear this summer that he expected a new contract, which eventually led the rebuilding Patriots to trade him to Atlanta for a third-round draft pick. Judon now becomes the top edge rusher for a team with serious playoff expectations, and his track record of posting decent tackle numbers in addition to the sacks suggests he should maintain some IDP value. Makes minor splash in debut
Judon registered five tackles (one solo), including 0.5 sacks, during Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Making his Falcons debut, Judon played 46 of Atlanta's 68 defensive snaps. He was quiet for most of the game, but on third-and-13 in the fourth quarter, Judon combined with Grady Jarrett to sack Justin Fields for an eight-yard loss. The Falcons' pass rush has been a major concern for years, and Judon is expected to remedy that. However, he's still learning a new system, so he may not see enough pass-rushing snaps to generate strong IDP value for a few weeks.

In his second year with the Patriots, Judon finished the 2022 season with 60 tackles, a team-high 15.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 17 games. As long as he continues to make his mark as a pass rusher - he also logged 12.5 sacks in 2021 - the 6-3, 261-pound linebacker will remain a cornerstone of New England's defense, as well as a player worthy of IDP consideration.

Willing to wait on extension
Judon is in no hurry to work out a contract extension with the Falcons, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It was his inability to reach a deal on an extension with New England that prompted his trade to Atlanta last week, but the veteran edge rusher feels he needs to prove himself to his team before engaging in those kinds of talks. "The Falcons know nothing about me as a football player or as a man." Judon said Monday. "They know my previous resume. I can't really demand or ask for anything I haven't worked for. I'm gonna work for it."
