                Suspension lifted
Thomas, who remains a free agent, had his one-game suspension lifted by the NFL on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
				ANALYSIS
Thomas will now be eligible to play and participate in all club activities if he can sign with a new team. The 31-year-old wideout could struggle to find such an opportunity, however, after he spent the entire offseason as a free agent and has appeared in just 20 games since the beginning of the 2020 season. Thomas racked up 39 catches for 448 yards and one touchdown over his 10 appearances with the Saints in 2023 before suffering a knee injury, though he's seemingly healthy now.

Injuries, and now age, are the main narratives when discussing Thomas. After playing just 10 games between 2020 and 2022, Thomas suited up for each of the Saints' first 10 games last season, including eight in a row recording no fewer than 42 yards (but no more than 68). The consistency didn't last, with Thomas turning in a goose egg Week 9 and then suffering a season-ending knee injury on this second snap of Week 10. The 31-year-old is now a free agent, five years removed from his historic 2019 campaign with a single-season record of 149 catches. Thomas figures to sign somewhere this summer but won't necessarily be a starter.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
    Reclammation project in Detroit?
Aaron Schatz of ESPN.com believes the Lions should sign Thomas as a reclamation project ahead of the start of training camp.
				ANALYSIS
After beginning his NFL career with four-straight 1,000-yard campaigns -- including 2019, when he set an NFL record with 149 catches -- Thomas has failed to eclipse 500 receiving yards over his last three seasons, finishing 2023 with 39 catches on 64 targets for 448 yards and one touchdown. The Lions have a clear-cut top wideout in Amon-Ra St. Brown, but Detroit lacks veteran help at receiver that Thomas would bring. St. Brown and Jameson Williams would be able to create space underneath for slant routes, and Schatz notes that Thomas had a 70 percent catch rate on those throws in 2018 and 2019.
