2025 Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Woods spent most of 2024 on the Browns' practice squad before making a handful of appearances in December. He missed the regular season finale with a knee injury, which hampered his availability for OTAs. The Browns have several wide receivers on the offseason roster but none beyond Jerry Jeudy, a healthy Cedric Tillman or a properly focused Diontae Johnson can stake a claim to a roster spot. Woods' history with the organization gives him an advantage over the many new arrivals. Where he was once angling to be the fifth or sixth WR, Woods could land as high as third in 2025. Let go by Cleveland
The Browns waived Woods (hand) with an injury designation Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Woods suffered a hand injury during this past Thursday's training camp practice. He will no longer be a part of the Browns' training camp roster, but if he clears waivers, he'll revert to injured reserve and be forced to sit for the entire 2025 season unless an injury settlement is reached. Woods spent most of last season on Cleveland's practice squad but did play in the final five games of the regular season, posting seven catches (on 18 targets) for 65 yards.

After adding David Bell earlier in the 2022 draft, the Browns continued to add depth to their receiving corps by nabbing Woods out of Oklahoma in Round 6. Woods began his career at Arkansas and transferred to OU to be part of a more explosive passing game. He never caught more than 35 passes in any of his four college seasons and averaged 14.0 yards per reception. Woods isn't a burner with 4.55 speed at 204 pounds, but he has a solid skillset as a possession receiver. He will likely have to fight for a roster spot as a rookie.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Chance to establish consistent role
Woods was signed to the Browns' active roster from the practice squad Saturday, and he has an opportunity to carve out a consistent role for himself in the passing game starting with Sunday's AFC North clash against the Steelers, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
ANALYSIS
Woods made his 2024 regular-season debut against the Broncos this past Monday, and he finished the game with three catches on five targets for 43 yards while playing 66 snaps on offense. Woods was in three-wideout sets alongside Jerry Jeudy and Elijah Moore in that game, and with Cedric Tillman sidelined for this Sunday's game due to a concussion, Woods has an opportunity to establish a stronger connection with quarterback Jameis Winston in the passing attack.
