Gardner has already established himself as arguably the best cornerback in the NFL, posting consecutive first team All-Pro seasons in his first two campaigns after being drafted fourth overall by the Jets in 2022. The Jets secondary is likely to remain elite with Gardner leading the way, but unfortunately for fantasy purposes, quarterbacks know Sauce's elite reputation and rarely test him. He will likely be a better player on the field than in fantasy in 2023, as opposing quarterbacks will be loath to throw in Sauce's direction after his standout rookie campaign. Gardner and fellow cornerback D.J. Reed figure to make life difficult on wide receivers again after the Jets allowed a league-low 1,857 yards to the position in 2022.
