2023 Fantasy Outlook
Conklin finished second on the Jets in targets (87), catches (58), receiving yards (552) and touchdowns (three) in 2022. He played over 70 percent of the team's snaps 14 times, slotting in ahead of C.J. Uzomah and rookie third-rounder Jeremy Ruckert on the team's tight end depth chart. Ruckert could command a larger role this season, and Conklin will have more competition for targets after the Jets signed wide receivers Allen Lazard and Mecole Hardman, but New York's passing game is also expected to be more effective with Aaron Rodgers under center. Conklin's one of only seven tight ends to top 550 yards in each of the past two seasons, and Rodgers could help Conklin clear his previous high of three TDs. Read Past Outlooks

Ties for second with five targets
Conklin caught three of five targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 15-10 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Conklin tied Allen Lazard for second behind Garrett Wilson in both catches and targets, but New York's offense struggled once again as Zach Wilson threw for just 157 yards. After being limited to one catch for two yards in the season opener, Conklin has eight catches for 76 yards in two subsequent games, and he should remain the Jets' top pass-catching tight end in Week 4 against the Chiefs.

The Dolphins rightfully get most of the headlines this week, but De'Von Achane might not be the only emerging rookie star in a high-flying AFC offense.

Tutu Atwell had another big game, and he's still available on waivers in a lot of leagues after the focus last week fell on teammates Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams.

Conklin was signed alongside C.J. Uzomah as the Jets restocked their tight end room this past offseason. Both players should see the field frequently, and Conklin actually had more catches (61) and yards (593) with the Vikings last year than Uzomah did with the Bengals, though Conklin scored just three touchdowns despite seeing 16 red-zone targets. A statistical decline is likely for Conklin in 2022 given the increased competition for snaps and targets in New York.
