Tim Wilkinson

The 41-year-old vet has earned nearly $4M on the course throughout a lengthy PGA Tour career spanning 162 events from 2003 to now, but Wilkinson has spent the past two years on the Korn Ferry Tour after finishing just 156th in the FedEx Cup standings during the 2016-17 season. Wilkinson's 2019 campaign on the KFT was highlighted by five top-10s, including a T3 at the Knoxville Open and a solo-second at the LECOM Health Challenge as he barely snuck inside of the Regular Season Points List. He led his peers in sand save percentage and ranked 26th in driving accuracy, but Wilkinson averaged less than 290 yards off the tee.

Wilkinson started last season making 11 of 13 PGA Tour cuts, including a T4 at the Byron Nelson, and then went into a tailspin. He missed six of the last nine cuts and headed to the Web.com Finals to look to retain his card. A T33 and T48 in the first two events put him in a tough spot, but a T12 at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship was enough to the claim the 50th and final Web.com tour card. Don't expect much more this season.

Wilkinson's PGA Tour career got off to a good start in 2008 when he earned over $1 million, but since that year he's struggled to remain healthy and remain on the PGA Tour. After losing his playing privileges in 2010, Wilkinson worked to regain his status for the following three years and after a solid season on the Web.com Tour, he finally found his way back. He did just enough to retain his card last season, but his prospects for the upcoming season don't look great. As such, he should be ignored in salary cap leagues.

Wilkinson struggled in his sophomore season, but considering he earned more than $1.6 million the season prior, he's worth a look in 2013-14.

Wilkinson is an interesting prospect for the 2011 season. He earned only $160K in 15 events last season, but just two years ago, as a full member of the PGA TOUR, he earned more than $1.1 million. He played 15 events last season on a medical extension from the previous year, and though he failed to earn his card for this season, the potential is still there. If Wilkinson can find a few exemptions this season, he may be able to make some progress back to a full-time member.

Wilkinson's play was spotty at best in 2008. Nearly all of his earnings came from two events with little to show in between. His stats from last year are middle of the pack except for driving distance where he ranks 165th. That's probably the best category to have a glaring weakness, but he just doesn't do anything exceptionally well, so it's hard to imagine that he'll improve much this year.

Wilkinson was 49th on the 2007 Nationwide Tour making it necessary for him to go to Q-school where he tied for 14th and earned his 2008 PGA Tour card. A New Zealander who plays from the left side, he has experience on the Australasia Tour adding to his depth.
