2025 Fantasy Outlook
After being a reserve player for the first two seasons, Ogletree earned a spot in the 2024 LIV Golf league after winning the International Series Order of Merit for 2023. While he was in the bottom half of the league in most statistical categories, he did manage to avoid relegation by finishing 34th in the LIV Golf individual season standings thanks to his T3 and T6 finishes in Adelaide and the United Kingdom, respectively. Ogletree was unable to make the cut at the PGA Championship, but he did manage to play all four rounds at The Open Championship and finished 79th. Ogletree carded a one-under 70 in the final round of LIV Golf Indianapolis to finish tied for 22nd and finished 50th in the individual season standings.
ANALYSIS
Ogletree entered Indianapolis just 0.59 points behind Henrik Stenson for 48th in the standings, the last spot above the relegation Drop Zone. Ogletree looked to be safe from relegation after going 10-under through the first two rounds, but he couldn't carry that momentum into Sunday. He had a birdie putt on his final hole at the par-4 second to climb out of the Drop Zone, but it barely missed to the right, meaning the American has lost his spot in the league for 2026. Even if Ogletree doesn't win the LIV Golf Promotional Event, he could earn his way back to the league through strong performances on the Asian Tour or be signed by a team for the 2026 season, including his HyFlyers GC squad captained by Phil Mickelson. Ogletree will close out the 2025 season with the HyFlyers next weekend at LIV Golf Michigan for the Team Championship.
