Looking at Burmester’s stats for the 2024 LIV Golf season, nothing really stands out other than perhaps his driving distance and scrambling percentage. However, the South African was one of the top performers in the first half of the season with three top-three finishes over the first six tournaments, including a playoff victory over Sergio Garcia at LIV Golf Miami. ANALYSIS
Burmester started the final round four shots back of Paul Casey, Peter Uihlein and eventual tournament winner Sergio Garcia for the clubhouse lead. Burmester was going to be a long shot to capture his second LIV Golf trophy -- especially with the way Garcia was playing -- but the South African managed to scale up the leaderboard with a bogey-free, eight-under 62 final round where he carded six birdies and an eagle on the par-5 third hole. Although Burmester finished near the middle of the pack in driving accuracy and GIR, he co-led the field in putts per hole (1.48) with Lucas Herbert and finished T2 in birdies made (18) with Garcia. Burmester has started the 2025 LIV Golf season with finishes of T4-T12-2. He sits third in the individual standings with 51.66 points heading into Singapore, where he finished T14 in 2024.

Burmester's summer was highlighted by back-to-back top-15s at the Genesis Scottish Open and the Open Championship in July, but it was his performance throughout the Korn Ferry Tour Finals that earned him a PGA Tour card for 2022-23. The 33-year-old South African notched top-5 results at both the Albertsons Boise Open and the KFT Championship to comfortably join the Finals 25.
