Buchanan opened the tournament strongly with a bogey-free, eight-under 63 first round. He wasn't quite that good over the next three days, though he went three-under over his last five holes of the final round to secure his first top-5 of the season and the best finish of his Korn Ferry Tour career. Buchanan finished the tournament T5 in GIR, sixth in SG: Around and in the top-25 in birdies made and SG: Approach and Putting. He's 55th in the Korn Ferry Tour Points List with 294.48 points, but with a win netting 500 or 600 points, he still has time to crack the top-20 to earn a spot in the PGA Tour next year.
