Jake Knapp

31-Year-Old Golfer
2025 Fantasy Outlook
After an early-season win at the Mexico Open and a T4 a week later, it appeared as though the sky was the limit for Knapp, after all, he had finished 3rd at the Farmers Insurance Open two events prior, so he was in the midst of a four event stretch where he finished no worse than T4, what could go wrong? Well, sometimes getting a win on the PGA Tour actually sets a golfer back, for a spell, sometimes for longer as complacency can set in. Maybe that's what happened or maybe it was something else. Whatever the case, Knapp did not finish the season well, posting only one more top-20 after the T4 that closed his fantastic stretch. Knapp was more of a grinder at the lower levels, often showing more consistency than upside, so perhaps the early success threw him for a loop. Whatever the case, he's a risky play at his current number in salary cap leagues this season. Read Past Outlooks
Comes up one-shot shy in Detroit
June 29, 2025
Knapp finished in a share of fourth place after shooting a four-under 68 in the final round of the Rocket Classic.
ANALYSIS
Knapp got off to a slow start with an even-par 72 in round one, but made up for it with a course-record 11-under 61 in round two. Knapp would enter the final round just two shots back of the lead. He made birdies on three of the first seven holes, but dropped shots on 9 and 11 hurt his chances. After a great second shot to the par-5 17th, Knapp had a chance for eagle to tie Chris Kirk in the lead at 22-under. That putt would just burn the edge. He then hit another great approach into the par-4 18th, but once again the putt just missed. Knapp will be kicking himself knowing that he just needed one more shot to join a playoff with Kirk, Aldrich Potgieter and Max Greyserman. That said, this T4 finish is a big result given that he hadn't finished better than T27 in an individual event since THE PLAYERS. Knapp will be in the field for the John Deere Classic next week.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Knapp managed to finish 13th on the 2023 Korn Ferry Tour points list despite ending his campaign without a single top-3 result, but he enjoyed one of the steadier seasons imaginable with just two missed cuts in 22 starts while racking up 15 top-25s and 10 top-10s. The former UCLA Bruin ranked second in driving distance, second in scrambling, fourth in putting average and fifth in total birdies, showcasing quite an impressive all-around game. He's made just four career appearances at the PGA Tour level, but Knapp's KFT metrics should put him on the deep sleeper radar.
