2025 Fantasy Outlook
Chisholm supplied two goals, 10 assists, 69 shots on net, 69 blocked shots and 33 hits over 66 regular-season outings with Minnesota in 2024-25. The Wild dealt him to Washington in the offseason, and he signed a two-year contract with his new team shortly afterward. He will probably be a spare defender for the Capitals going into the 2025-26 campaign, which doesn’t bode well for his already limited fantasy value. Still, Chisholm could be worthy of a waiver-wire pickup during the year if injuries occur. Read Past Outlooks

Draws in, grabs helper
Chisholm registered an assist in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Rangers.
ANALYSIS
Chisholm got a chance to play while Trevor van Riemsdyk rested for the second half of a back-to-back. This was Chisholm's first game as a Capital after he was traded from the Wild at the draft. The 25-year-old blueliner is likely to remain in a part-time role. He had 12 points, 69 blocked shots and 33 hits in 66 regular-season games a year ago.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
The Jets never gave Chisholm much of a chance to earn a spot, and eventually, they waived him in January of 2024. The Wild claimed him and were much more accommodating, giving him 29 appearances last season. Chisholm picked up eight points in those games and signed a one-year contract to remain in Minnesota for 2024-25. Chisholm doesn't have a ton of offensive upside, but he's capable of producing 20-25 points if he can stay in the lineup regularly. The 24-year-old will be competing primarily with Jon Merrill for a spot on the third pairing, and Chisholm could also be an option on Minnesota's second power-play unit.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Suffers apparent leg injury
Chisholm was reportedly cut by a skate blade at practice Monday, per Sammi Silber of The Hockey News.
ANALYSIS
Chisholm immediately left the ice with a trainer after suffering an apparent cut to his leg. At this point, the team hasn't offered any sort of update, but the blueliner should probably be considered questionable, at best, ahead of Wednesday's game versus the Bruins. With Matt Roy and Dylan McIlrath dealing with upper-body and lower-body injuries, respectively, Chisholm's potential absence Wednesday would likely see Vincent Iorio pressed into service versus Boston.
