Agrees to two-year contract
CColumbus Blue Jackets
July 5, 2025
Voronkov signed a two-year, $8.35 million contract with the Blue Jackets on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Voronkov was a restricted free agent this summer after completing his entry-level contract. He had 23 goals, 47 points, 55 PIM and 71 hits across 73 appearances with the Blue Jackets in 2024-25. Going into his third NHL season, he has a chance to reach new offensive highs while playing primarily on the second line.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Voronkov registered 18 goals and 34 points in 75 games during his rookie season in 2023-24. He also provided 142 shots on net and 83 hits while averaging 13:27 of ice time per contest. The 23-year-old forward finished second on the Blue Jackets with six power-play goals, but the signing of Sean Monahan and a healthy Adam Fantilli will probably cut into his special-teams role in 2024-25. Voronkov should still see his fair share of opportunities as a key member of the team's middle-six group. However, a significant increase in production should not be expected unless injuries elevate him in the lineup.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potential trade return
CColumbus Blue Jackets
June 27, 2025
Voronkov might be part of the package the Jackets send to the Islanders to acquire Noah Dobson, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
At this point, it's all speculation regarding the Islanders trading away Dobson ahead of Friday's NHL Draft, but it appears Voronkov could be a player New York is targeting as part of the return package. For his part, the 24-year-old winger is coming off a career-best season in which he set new personal highs with 23 goals and 24 assists, including 11 power-play points, across 73 contests. With the Isles, Voronkov would certainly be in the mix for a top-six role, though he'd be far from a lock and could periodically slip to the third line during the campaign.
