Dream11 Fantasy KBO: Twins at Eagles

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy KBO series.

LG Twins (23-13) at Hanwha Eagles (9-28)

Wednesday, June 17th, 5:30 AM EDT

Projected starters

RHP Chan Gyu Lim (2-2, 5.24 ERA) vs LHP Chad Bell (0-2, 8.80 ERA)

Game Preview

The Twins are coming off back-to-back wins and have won six of their last eight games, allowing them to rise to second place in the standings. The Eagles might find themselves at the other end of the spectrum and are the lone team in the league that still has single-digit wins, although they won two games against the Bears over the weekend, breaking their 18-game losing streak. The Twins will try to win the second game of the series by sending Chan Gyu Lim to the mound, who's allowed two home runs in each of his last two starts. The Eagles will counter with Chad Bell, who's struggled massively in four starts after having his season debut delayed due to an elbow injury.

Injuries

Ju Seok Ha, Eagles - 10-Day IL - Thigh

June 2 - Eagles manager Yong-duk Han admitted Tuesday that Ha (thigh) is recovering from his injury slower than anticipated and will likely be sidelined until July, The Chosun Ilbo reports. When Ha injured his right thigh in a May 17 game, the Eagles were optimistic that he would complete his rehab in four weeks and rejoin the club around mid-to-late June. The shortstop's recovery timeline now looks like it will fall more in the six-week range, if not longer, given his lack of

The shortstop's recovery timeline now looks like it will fall more in the six-week range, if not longer, given his lack of progress to date. Ha's ongoing absence should continue to open up regular work for Si Hwan Noh in the middle infield.

Sun Jin Oh, Eagles - 10-Day IL - Thigh

June 2 - Eagles manager Yong-duk Han said Tuesday that Oh (thigh) is recovering from his injury slower than anticipated and will likely be sidelined until July, The Chosun Ilbo reports. Hanwha has been down its top two shortstops in Ju Seok Ha and Oh since mid-May while both have battled thigh injuries, opening up regular work in the middle infield for Si Hwan Noh. Though Ha and Oh were both expected to require only four weeks to heal up from their respective injuries, the limited progress both players have made to date appears to have prompted Hanwha to push their recovery timelines back to at least six weeks. Before going down with the injury, Oh went 9-for-26 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI in nine games with Hanwha.

Min Sung Kim, Twins - 10-Day IL - Thigh

June 15 - The Twins placed Kim (thigh) on the 10-day injured list Monday, Young-rock Kim of The Chosun Ilbo reports. The transaction comes as little surprise after a recent MRI revealed that Kim sustained a left adductor injury Sunday that will keep him sidelined for at least 2-to-3 weeks. The Twins also removed reliever Sang Gyu Lee from the active roster Monday and replaced him and Kim with reliever Sun Tae Han and outfielder Min-Su Jeon.

Hyung Jong Lee, Twins - Out - Hand

May 10 - Lee, who suffered a fractured wrist in a preseason game, is expected to return in late May or early June, Newsis News Agency reports. Lee broke the fifth metacarpal in his left hand, but he should be a big part of LG's offense when he returns after hitting .286 with 13 home runs and an .800 OPS last season. Yong-taik Park has received more playing time as a result of Lee's injury.

Roberto Ramos, Twins - 10-Day IL - Ankle

June 16 - Ramos (ankle) is expected to return to action Thursday, Kyung Yoon Kim of the Yonhap News Agency reports. Ramos was able to take batting practice Tuesday, but he is not ready for action just yet. If all goes well in the coming days, though, he will be sidelined for only a couple more games.

Top picks

Hyun Soo Kim, Twins: Kim should be the Twins' main offensive threat with Roberto Ramos currently on the injured list. The outfielder continues to hit second in the order and has found success against the Eagles this season hitting .444 with three RBI in 18 at-bats.

Eun Sung Chae, Twins: Chae has a .389 average, a .421 on-base percentage and one home run against the Eagles this season. He's coming off back-to-back multi-hit performances, going 5-for-8 with a double and a homer in his last two games.

Eun Won Jung, Eagles: The bar to be one the Eagles' best hitters is incredibly low, but Jung seems to clear it. Typically batting in one of the top three spots in the lineup, Jung has hit a respectable .265 on the year.

Chan Gyu Lim, Twins: Lim has tossed at least six innings in all but one of his starts this season, so at the very least he can be a decent innings-eater. He's given up two home runs in each of his last two starts, but he has a strong chance for a bounceback performance against the league's weakest lineup.
