Trizano defeated L'udovit Klein via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27) at UFC on ESPN 24 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Bothered recently by a knee issue, Trizano did an excellent job of shutting down the hard-hitting Klein despite entering as one of the biggest underdogs on Saturday's card at +190. While the first two frames were fairly close, Trizano got stronger as the fight progressed. He began to pull away from Klein in Round 3 in a bout that, according to the scorecards, was very much up in the air as the final five minutes began. Trizano's performance was made all the most impressive by the fact he had spent the prior two years on the sidelines. It was a nice showing from the New Jersey native and Team Tiger Schulmann product.
