Cruises to win in UFC debut
Solecki defeated Matt Wiman via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Washington D.C.
ANALYSIS
Solecki was so dominant that there is a legitimate case to be made he deserved to win all three rounds via a 10-8 score. Over the course of the 15-minute bout, Solecki had a 177-20 edge in total strikes landing to go along with scoring on four of his five takedown attempts. It was as dominant of an effort as you will ever see from a debuting fighter. Wiman is nothing more than roster depth, so it will be interesting to see how the 26-year-old Solecki fairs against a better opponent his next time out.

UFC debut booked
Solecki will make his UFC debut against Matt Wiman in a lightweight matchup at UFC DC on Dec. 7, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Solecki got his UFC contract after choking out James Wallace on Dana White's Contender Series this past summer, and will make his official debut against a 36-year-old Wiman. Wiman returned from nearly a five-year layoff to get knocked out by Luis Pena this summer, but should have any possible ring rust behind him. As of Monday afternoon, the younger Solecki is a (-325) betting favorite.
