Looks to stay active in September
June 9, 2021
Fiorot will take on Mayra Bueno Silva in a flyweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for Sept. 25, AgFight reports (via Marcel Dorff of MMADNA).
Fiorot has smashed her first two UFC opponents, finishing Victoria Leonardo and Tabatha Ricci in the second round. She now draws a slightly bigger name in Bueno Silva, who is 3-1-1 with the company, which includes a signature win against Gillian Robertson. Fiorot has statistical edges in most areas of the game, but it's over a much smaller sample size against inferior competition. Both women match up comparably in height, reach and age.
Takes care of business has heavy favorite
June 6, 2021
Fiorot defeated Tabatha Ricci via TKO (punches) at 3:00 of Round 2 at UFC Vegas 28 on Saturday.
Fiorot spent the first frame in firm control of the action, and it was clear by her size advantage she was landing the more damaging strikes. While Ricci returned fire on occasion, those shots were few and far between. Fiorot won the significant strike battle 31 to 11 in Round 1. The second frame saw more domination, as Fiorot recorded a takedown before starting to rain down shots. She ended up recorded 53 significant strikes to Ricci's six before Herb Dean stepped in to halt the action. Fiorot is now 2-0 in the UFC with a pair of second-round stoppages. While some say she has the looks of a title contender, she'll need to show it against a big step up in competition, which she should be granted her next time out.
New opponent lined up
June 2, 2021
Fiorot will now fight Tabatha Ricci in a bantamweight bout at the UFC Fight Night 189 on Saturday, reports.
Fiorot's originally opponent, Maryna Moroz, had to withdraw for an undisclosed reason. Fiorot scored an impressive UFC debut victory over Victoria Leonardo. Ricci will be making his UFC debut, but is 5-0-0 as a professional.
Second fight on tap
March 3, 2021
Fiorot will take on Maryna Moroz at a UFC event scheduled for June 5, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
Fiorot dominated during her debut under the UFC banner in January, defeating Victoria Leonardo via TKO (strikes) at UFC Fight Island 8. She'll attempt to extend her professional winning streak to seven against Moroz, who will be returning to the Octagon after suffering an unspecified injury in November. She last fought in March 2020, defeating Mayra Bueno Silva via unanimous decision at UFC Brasilia. The two fighters are even in height, but Moroz has a slight edge in reach.
Dominates in UFC debut
January 20, 2021
Fiorot defeated Victoria Leonardo via TKO (strikes) at 4:08 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Island 8 on Wednesday.
Fiorot came out hot in the striking department and landed all the biggest shots of the first round, including a combination that nearly ended the fight. She was inches away with a massive wheel kick that also could have ended the proceedings. The diverse striking continued into Round 2, but it was a vicious right leg head kick that started the sequence to end the proceedings. She had Leonardo clearly wobbled and a few follow-up shots was all she needed from there. The UFC may have something here with the 30-year-old Fiorot, who is now on a six-fight winning streak.
