Hunsucker was handed a six-month medical suspension Tuesday due to a knee injury, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hunsucker failed to last two minutes against Justin Tafa before getting knocked out. He may have also suffered a serious injury in the process. If an MRI on his left knee is positive, he'll be unable to fight until June 17 unless cleared by a doctor.

Obliterated by Justin Tafa

Hunsucker lost to Justin Tafa via TKO (head kick) at 1:53 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was another disastrous effort from Hunsucker. The 32-year-old Kentucky native has now made two appearances with the UFC, in addition to a bout on Dana White's Contender Series. Hunsucker has suffered first-round knockout defeats in each of the fights and the odds are strongly against him getting a third official opportunity with the company. On a more positive note, he did pick up a percentage of Tafa's purse after the latter missed weight by a pound on Friday morning. Small victories.

Hunsucker's opponent, Justin Tafa, missed weight Friday, MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Tafa weighed in at 267 pounds, missing the heavyweight limit by one pound. He became the first heavyweight to fail to make weight. If the pair's fight proceeds as scheduled Saturday, Tafa will likely have to surrender a portion of his purse.

Hunsucker is scheduled to fight Justin Tafa in a heavyweight bout at the Dec. 18 UFC event, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Hunsucker lost his UFC debut versus Tai Tuivasa via TKO (punches) in March. The quick fight didn't spare Hunsucker from injuries to his left hand and thumb, but it appears he'll be ready to return in December. He has advantages of one inch in both height and reach versus Tafa.
Possible hand and thumb injuries

Hunsucker is facing a six-month suspension from the Nevada Athletic Commission pending X-rays on his left hand and thumb, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hunsucker only managed to land two significant strikes on Tai Tuivasa before he was finished in the first minute of the fight, but it was enough to cause a potential injury. While fighters willing to make short-notice debuts typically get another chance with the company, Hunsucker will have to wait until at least mid-September to get back on the winning track, unless he's cleared earlier by a physician.
