Gillmore lost to Andre Petroski via TKO (strikes) at 3:12 of Round 3 at UFC on ESPN 30 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Gilmore never had a prayer. In fact, he displayed a ton of heart in lasting as long as he did. Going up an opponent with twice as much explosiveness and power, Gilmore found himself constantly on the defensive. Petroski allowed him no openings, limiting Gilmore to just 38 total strikes over the course of the bout. This was the expected result, as Gillmore, whose prior five fights had come in five different organizations, entered as a +400 underdog.

Gillmore will take on Andre Petroski in a middleweight bout at the UFC event Aug. 28, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
Both fighters will be making their UFC debut in the upcoming bout. Gillmore boasts a career MMA record of 6-3. He hasn't been in the Octagon since January of 2020, however.
