Jackson defeated Charles Rosa via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-27, 30-27) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a clear-cut victory for Jackson in one of the bloodiest fights in recent memory. Both men had their moments, but it was Jackson's grappling that ultimately secured the win. Nicknamed "The Leech", Jackson connected on six of twelve takedown attempts. For comparison's sake, he didn't score a single takedown in any of his prior three bouts. Those six successful tries led to 10:24 worth of control time, which led to an easy decision for Jackson despite the fact he wasn't particularly good in the final round. Over the course of six bouts with the company over two separate stints, Jackson is now 2-2-1 (1NC).

Jackson will no longer be fighting Luke Sanders as planned on the May 1 card after he was ruled out for the event, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
The reasoning for Jackson's removal from the May 1 card was not revealed but the UFC was able to pair up Sanders against Felipe Colares after Colares' original opponent was also pulled from the event. It's unclear when Jackson could be expected to fight next as he'll be looking to avenge his loss to Ilia Topuria from December.

Jackson is set to take on Luke Sanders on the May 1 card, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson needed a new opponent after T.J. Laramie backed out last week for an undisclosed reason. It didn't take too long to find one in Sanders, who is looking to bounce back from a tough loss to Nate Maness last November. Both Jackson and Laramie have struggled of late. Sanders typically likes to push the pace, averaging 6.21 significant strikes per minute, while Jackson averaged only 2.46 but does attempt more takedowns and submissions than his opposition. Jackson holds a five-inch height and four-inch reach advantage over his opponent.

Jackson needs a new opponent for May 1 after T.J. Laramie (undisclosed) withdrew Wednesday, Marcel Dorff of MMADNA reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson boasts a 1-1-0 record at the UFC level and is looking for a chance to rise above .500, but he'll need a new opponent in order to enter the Octagon in May. With just one month to find a replacement, it remains to be seen whether the UFC will remove Jackson from the card altogether or find him a replacement.
