Idiris lost to Joseph Morales via submission (triangle choke) at 3:04 of Round 2 at UFC 319 on Saturday in Chicago, Illinois.

The betting odds predicted that the undefeated fighter would walk through his veteran counterpart, but Idiris seemed out of sorts from the opening bell, resorting to desperation spinning attacks to combat Morales' pressure. Idiris is a fast, powerful striker, but he never got his offense going in the short-notice appearance.
