More Fantasy News
Dealt third-straight loss
Lee lost to Natalia Silva via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 292 on Saturday in Boston.
ANALYSIS
Lee struggled to get inside in what turned out to be a 15-minute kickboxing affair, and she was getting off second in virtually all of the exchanges. Even entering as a sizable (+260) betting underdog, she still managed to underwhelm, and the result was a third consecutive defeat that could very well end up costing Lee her roster spot. She landed less than 50 significant strikes in each of those -- all decisions == so it's not like she was lighting things up from a fantasy standpoint either. The last victory for the 34-year-old came against Cynthia Calvillo in 2021.

Scheduled to fight Silva
Lee will fight Natalia Silva in a flyweight bout scheduled for UFC 292 at Boston on Aug 19, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Lee will look to redeem herself after back-to-back decision losses against Viviane Araujo and Maycee Barber, though the latter defeat is questionable. Defeating a promising Silva, who has won each of her last nine fights, would get Lee back on track.

Gets no help from judges in loss
Lee lost to Maycee Barber via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 27-30) at UFC on ESPN 43 on Saturday in San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Lee wasn't the least bit competitive in a unanimous decision loss to Viviane Araujo last May. That left her in an extremely vulnerable position coming into this fight. There's a case to be made -- perhaps a good one -- that she deserved the win over Barber here, but two of the three judges disagreed, and that leaves Lee in a whole heap of trouble moving forward. Andrea's wrestling game was on point. She landed all five of her takedown attempts, good for 5:20 worth of control time. With the striking numbers close (66-57 Barber in terms of total strikes landed), one would think Lee's grappling success would have been enough. Having turned 34 years of age this past February, Lee is 2-5 in her past seven fights. She probably needs a victory her next time out in order to save her roster spot.

Likely to see Barber in March
Lee is in line to take on Maycee Barber in a flyweight matchup at the UFC event scheduled for March 25, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Lee will look to end the three-fight winning streak of a highly-regarded prospect while also bouncing back from a May defeat of her own. While it's unlikely she finds herself a betting favorite, she will have some advantages here. First off, she's an inch taller with a four-inch reach advantage, at least on paper. Furthermore, Lee has higher striking volume and takedown average, though she defends takedowns at just a 56 percent clip. With Lee checking in at No. 9 and Barber at No. 12 in the UFC women's flyweight rankings, this fight will presumably be to maintain top-10 status.

No-shows loss in Vegas
Lee lost to Viviane Araujo via unanimous decision (28-29, 27-29, 27-29) at UFC on ESPN 36 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Lee has had some disappointing performances inside the Octagon, but this one might take the cake. She appeared to have a realistic chance at a stoppage win just moments into the fight after landing a big shot followed by a head kick, but Araujo (with some help from Lee herself) survived, and Andrea was dominated the rest of the way. Lee made a slew of positional mistakes, allowing Araujo to end up with a dominant position over and over, thus eliminating any chance she had of a potential comeback. Lee entered this fight having recorded back-to-back stoppage victories over Cynthia Calvillo (TKO) and Antonina Shevchenko (submission), but this performances always appeared to be aberration as opposed to a sign of things to come. Lee -- currently 5-4 after nine UFC bouts -- is running out of time at age 33.
