Steamrolled by Tatiana Suarez
De La Rosa lost to Tatiana Suarez via submission (guillotine choke) at 2:51 of Round 2 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
The largest underdog on the entire card at +600, this felt from the very start like De La Rosa was being fed to the wolves in an attempt to build Suarez back up, and that ended up being exactly the case. Montana is a submission specialist who does her best work on the mat, but having Suarez on top of you is a different feeling than most any other fighter on the roster today. De La Rosa is going to get another fight with the company given the level of competition she was facing here, but her 1-3-1 mark in her last five fights dating back to September 2020 suggests we shouldn't expect much.

ANALYSIS
De La Rosa is looking to bounce back from a loss via unanimous decision to Maycee Barber at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas this past April. She holds a 5-3-1 record with the company and is considered a one-dimensional submission specialist. She will take on Suarez (knee), who is returning from a four-year absence with the company due to injuries after starting her career 4-0.
