Remains undefeated as pro
Saaiman defeated Terrence Mitchell via TKO (punches) at 3:10 of Round 1 at UFC 290 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was easy work for the massive -650 favorite. Saaiman found himself planted to the mat just moments after the opening bell rang, but he responded by clamping on a guillotine choke that nearly closed the show. Mitchell escaped, but Saaiman eventually reversed position on the mat, flattened his opponent out, and landed countless unanswered shots before referee Mark Smith pulled the plug. Saaiman is just 22 years of age and has all of nine professional bouts under his belt, so the UFC is wisely taking it slow with him, but Cameron is going to continue to cruise past the vast majority of these fringe-roster opponents without issue.

Next bout scheduled
Saaiman will face off against Terrence Mitchell at UFC 290 on July 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Saaiman, who most recently defeated Mana Martinez in March, is set to face off against Terrence Mitchell in July. The 22-year-old fighter boasts an undefeated (2-0) record in the UFC which he will look to retain during his showdown with Martinez.

Rodriguez fight not in works
Saaiman is not expected to fight Christian Rodriguez at UFC 290 on July 8, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
It appeared that a Saaiman-Rodriguez fight was finalized for the UFC's Vegas summer pay-per-view. However, multiple sources confirmed that Rodriguez would be missing after he was not listed for the UFC 290 card on ESPN. Currently, the UFC is seeking an immediate replacement to fight the undefeated Saaiman under four weeks' notice.

Rodriguez fight in works
Saaiman and Christian Rodriguez have a bantamweight fight in the works for UFC 290 at Las Vegas on July 8, according to Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
It appears Saaiman's next fight will be against a hype derailer in Rodriguez. Saaiman improved his MMA record to 7-0 (2-0 UFC) back in March. Meanwhile, Rodriguez gave 18-year-old Raul Rosas his first loss back at UFC 287.

Takes decision from heavy opponent
Saaiman defeated Mana Martinez via majority decision (27-28, 26-29, 28-28) at UFC 285 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This fight wasn't particularly close. In fact, the most dangerous moments of the night for Saaiman were of his own doing. He was docked a point by referee Herb Dean in Round 1 for repeated low blows and was lucky he wasn't docked another in Round 3 following an eye poke. This comes on the heels of Cameron landing a brutal illegal knee in his knockout win over Steven Koslow in his UFC debut last December. Neither of the fouls in this fight appeared intentional, but you are in charge of your weapons, as they say. Other than that, Saaiman looked great. At just 22 years of age, there's serious upside here with the South African.
