Still searching for first UFC win

Shainis lost to Jack Jenkins via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 284 on Saturday in Perth, Australia.
ANALYSIS
Considering he was submitted by Sodiq Yusuff in 30 seconds in his UFC debut last October, this performance can be viewed as a step in the right direction for Shainis. He was unable to match the physicality of Jenkins throughout the course of the bout, but Jenkins did close with a 128-100 edge in total strikes landed and had his moments in which he was in firm control on the mat. Ultimately, it was nowhere near enough to earn the decision. 31 years of age and without much pedigree prior to his UFC arrival, it's not a lock Shainis will receive a third opportunity with the company.

Shainis will take on Jack Jenkins at UFC 284 on Feb. 11, Team Iridium Sports Agency reports.
ANALYSIS
Shainis did not have a good showing in his UFC debut on Oct. 1 which lasted all of 30 seconds before he tapped. He will hope to do much better against a fighter in Jenkins making his promotional debut.
Obliterated in UFC debut

Shainis lost to Sodiq Yusuff via submission (guillotine choke) at 0:30 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was uncomfortable to watch. Entering as a +700 underdog, by far the largest on the entire card, Shainis ate some massive knees from the clinch moments after the opening bell rang and found himself tapping out moments after that. There isn't a whole heck of a lot to say here. Shainis will probably get another fight with the UFC, but little should be expected given what we saw in this one.
Set to take on Sodiq Yusuff

September 13, 2022
Shainis will take on Sodiq Yusuff in a featherweight bout at UFC Fight Night on Oct. 1, Aaron Bronsteter of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Shainis is set to make his UFC debut in a matchup with Sodiq Yusuff on Oct. 1. The 5-foot-6 American holds a 13-3 record in professional fights, but he will take on a tough opponent in Yusuff who has won five of his last six fights. The 30-year-old will look to make a splash in his first fight appearance the UFC.
Runs over Matt Denning at Bellator 185
LightweightUFC
October 20, 2017
Shainis defeated Matt Denning via TKO (punches) at 4:50 of Round 1 at Bellator 185 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
This fight was a total washout for Shainis. He scored an early takedown and went to work on top. Denning defended well early, but he faded as the round went on. With about a minute left in the round, Shainis transitioned to the mount. Once he was in a dominant position, he began to really turn on the offense and land strikes. Denning gave up his back, and Shainis continued to pour it on until the referee stopped it. He improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Bellator
