ANALYSIS
This was your classic example of damage v. control time. It's very hard, if not impossible, to win a 15-minute decision when you give up 11 takedowns, good for 9:34 worth of control time, as Park did here. That said, he was the one constantly working to improve his position, and there's zero doubt he landed the more damaging blows when he was able to improve. It's just such a bad visual for the judges spending that much time on your back. Park is going to be disappointed with the result, but he entered having won four straight, and his roster spot is plenty secure. We'll see the 32-year-old back in action at some point in 2024.
