Facing Perez in San Antonio
Kape will fight Alex Perez at UFC San Antonio on March 25, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
After losing the first two fights of his UFC career, Kape has bounced back nicely by winning three straight since August 2021. He will be facing an opponent in Perez who has fought just twice since November 2020, losing both.

Runs winning streak to three
Kape defeated David Dvorak via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Five fights into his UFC run, Kape appears to be finding his groove. Entering as a -205 favorite against Dvorak, Kape landed the harder and more impactful strikes throughout the duration of the bout. He had Dvorak in trouble on multiple occasions, although the latter still managed to last the entire 15 minutes. A long-time member of the Rizin roster, Kape turned just 29 years of age in mid-November, so he should have plenty of runaway ahead of him to potentially make an impact in one of the UFC's thinnest (flyweight) divisions.

To fight in 2022 after all
Kape will take on David Dvorak in a flyweight matchup at UFC Vegas 66 on Dec. 10, Alex Behunin of MMA Mania reports.
ANALYSIS
Kape has put together a two-fight stoppage streak but has so far seen both of his scheduled 2022 bouts get cancelled -- once due to issues on his end and once more due to an opponent's weight-cutting issues. He'll now meet a fighter in Dvorak that started his UFC run a perfect 3-0, but saw his winning streak snapped in March at the hands of Matheus Nicolau.

Bout called off
Kape's scheduled fight with Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 275 on Saturday has been called off after Bontorin was hospitalized while attempting to cut weight, Mike Heck of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bontorin experienced kidney issues while cutting weight ahead of Friday's weigh-in and was taken to the hospital, resulting in the cancelation. A replacement opponent apparently won't subbed in on short notice, leaving Kape off the card for Saturday.

Added to UFC 275
Kape will fight Rogerio Bontorin at UFC 275 on June 11 in Singapore, Farah Hannoun of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Kape will return to the octagon for the first time since Dec. 6 after withdrawing from his most recent bout against Su Mudaerji in late April due to personal reasons. In his last two fights, the 28-year-old secured a pair first-round knockouts. His opponent Rogerio Bontorin is coming off of a knee injury and has a four fight losing streak, most recently dropping his bout against Brandon Royval via split decision in January.
