Turcios is no longer expected to fight Raul Rosas at UFC Vegas 87 on Saturday, MMAFighting.com reports.

The two were supposed to fight a week earlier in Mexico City, but Rosas came down with an illness at the last possible minute, forcing the cancellation of the bout just before the two were scheduled to make the walk to the cage. The UFC announced an immediate re-booking for this week's card at catchweight, but it sounds like the promotion jumped the gun a bit, making the announcement before both fighters had pen to paper. It's also unclear what broke things up this time around. It seems likely this fight still happens down the road, but it won't be this weekend.

Time and again Turcios has shown he will throw himself into the fire and take damage to get his game working. This "kill-or-be-killed" style generally catches up with fighters at some point, but the 29-year-old will be fun to watch regardless of the outcome. He improves to 13-3-0 in professional MMA as a result of the victory.
