No fight Saturday after all
Rosas is no longer expected to fight Ricky Turcios at UFC Vegas 87 on Saturday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The two were supposed to fight a week earlier in Mexico City, but Rosas came down with an illness at the last possible minute, forcing the cancellation of the bout just before the walkouts. The UFC announced an immediate re-booking for this week's card at catchweight, but it sounds like the promotion jumped the gun a bit, making the announcement before both fighters had pen to paper. It seems likely this fight still happens down the road, but it won't be this weekend.

ANALYSIS
Still the youngest fighter on the UFC roster at age 18, the company was nice enough to give Rosas what was essentially a free victory on the heels of his shocking unanimous decision loss to Christian Rodriguez this past April, and he took full advantage. Known as a high-end grappler, Rosas came out swinging for the bleachers, eventually connecting and knocking Mitchell into next week. It was over moments later. The UFC would be wise to continue to take things slow with Rosas given his massive long-term potential. In the short-term, he'll walk away with an extra $50,000 as one of five Performance of the Night recipients.
