Knocked out once again
BantamweightUFC
May 22, 2021
Rodriguez lost to Bruno Silva via KO (punches) at 1:00 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
This was Rodriguez's second UFC bout and also the second time he was knocked out in less than three minutes. Saturday's beating lasted all of 60 seconds. He ate a huge knee in the clinch from Silva before being flattened with a right hand. The 28-year-old joined the company in February of last year riding a four-fight winning streak, but those victories came in promotions such as the Alaska Fighting Championship and Power Plant Productions. The odds of Rodriguez getting another shot with the company appear to be slim (depending on his contract, of course).

Rodriquez lost his UFC debut versus Adrian Yanez back in October, so he'll look to earn his first victory with the with the promotion come May. Granted, he was in a tough spot vs. Yanez, as a +435 underdog while filling in on short notice due to an injury to the original contestant.
Routed in UFC debut
BantamweightUFC
October 31, 2020
Rodriguez lost to Adrian Yanez via KO (head kick) at 2:46 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Making his UFC debut on short notice for an injured Aaron Phillips as a whopping +435 underdog, Rodriguez found himself in a tough spot before the fight even began. It didn't get any better once the bell rang. Rodriguez was unable to generate any significant offense before Yanez mercifully finished him off in the early going. Rodriguez should get another fight with the company due to his willingness to "save" this bout, but little should be expected from the 28-year-old Alaskan.
