Ghemmouri was handled by William Gomis in his UFC debut last September, getting out-landed and forced to fight off multiple submission attempts before falling via TKO (body kick) in the third round. Stopped late in UFC debut
Ghemmouri lost to William Gomis via TKO (body kick) at 2:20 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
Unable to get anything going offensively for the duration of the bout, Ghemmouri was well on his way to dropping a unanimous decision in his UFC debut before getting stopped midway through Round 3. He was cracked with a body kick from Gomis that sent him doubling over in pain. Ghemmouri immediately complained it was a low blow, but referee Loic Pora felt otherwise and called off the bout. The kick appeared to catch part of the cup, but it also appeared to be a legal shot. The defeat snaps a nine-fight winning streak for the newcomer.
