Reese will take on Julian Marquez at a UFC event on June 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Reese is looking to bounce back from his loss to Cody Brundage via KO (slam) in his debut fight with the company. His defeat happened in Round 1 at UFC Fight NIght in Austin this past December. His opponent, Marquez, is also looking to turn things around, as he is riding a two-fight losing streak.

UFC debut ends quickly

Reese lost to Cody Brundage via KO (slam) at 1:49 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Austin, Texas.
ANALYSIS
A native of nearby Shiner, Texas, Reese had the entire crowd behind him in his UFC debut. He was a -240 favorite despite having exactly six pro fights under his belt. Reese gave up an early takedown, and just like we saw in the fight prior, was eventually lifted up and slammed to the mat by his opponent. Brundage fired off some follow-up shots before referee Jeff Rexroad pulled the plug. Brundage has shown very little during his time with the UFC, so the fact Reese lost to him in less than two minutes in his company debut isn't a great sign moving forward.
Making UFC debut

Reese is set to make his UFC debut against Cody Brundage at UFC Austin on Dec. 2, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reese will make his UFC debut against the 29-year-old Cody Brundage (3-4 during his time in the UFC), after earning a UFC contract in Dana White's Contender Series. The 29-year-old fighter is 6-0 during his professional fighting career.
Snatches victory, earns contract

Reese defeated Eli Aronov via submission (armbar) at 1:14 of Round 1 at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. After the show, he was one of three fighters to be awarded an official UFC contract.
ANALYSIS
Both fighters came out swinging wildly and looking to get an early finish, but Reese quickly found himself eating hard shots on the ground after Aronov caught a wayward kick. Reese was able to isolate the arm of the Israeli fighter, and just when it looked like he was about to free himself, the 27-year-old wound up for a big punch, allowing Reese to straighten the other arm and finish the submission. The primary job of a combat sports athlete is to win fights, so there is no reason to be critical of Reese in that regard, but the Texas native didn't really show anything inside the cage here, save for getting a tap due to another fighter's mistake. Reese has been fighting since 2012, with an amateur career far more extensive than we typically see in MMA. With all five of his professional finishes coming in the first round, it's not clear that Reese will be more than filler at the bottom of the division at this time.
