For our 2014-15 Premier League rankings, we polled four of our writers to come up with a composite list for the upcoming year. We broke it down by position, listing our top-20 forwards, midfielders, defenders and top-10 goalkeepers.Points were assigned to each player based on their ranking by each writer: 20 points for a first place vote, 19 points for a second place vote, 18 points for a third place vote and so on.
Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois is the top choice in our Goalkeeper Rankings, Everton's Leighton Baines checks in at the top spot for defenders, and Manchester City's Yaya Toure tops our midfielder rankings.
Manchester United's Robin van Persie was our top pick last year, and while he cracks the top-five this time around, Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge checks in at No. 1 this year fresh off a 21-goal season that sees him as the highest-returning goal scorer in the Premier League this season.
