For our 2014-15 Premier League rankings, we polled four of our writers to come up with a composite list for the upcoming year. We broke it down by position, listing our top-20 forwards, midfielders, defenders and top-10 goalkeepers.Points were assigned to each player based on their ranking by each writer: 20 points for a first place vote, 19 points for a second place vote, 18 points for a third place vote and so on.
Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois is the top choice in our Goalkeeper Rankings and Everton's Leighton Baines checks in at the top spot for defenders.
Our top midfield pick last year was Gareth Bale, who promptly got sold to Real Madrid, where he went on to win the Champions League. This year we've got a few players near the top of the list who will be staying in England this season, headlined by Manchester City's Yaya Toure, who took the top spot on two of four lists, with Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey getting the other two top votes.
