Wissa (knee) is nearing a return and could feature Nov. 2 against West Ham, but appears to be out until at least the international break, according to manager Eddie Howe, per Lee Ryder of the Chronicle. "Pre-season schedules that we give to players will be six weeks. And we do that for a reason, so we can build them up and they can play in various games, and then they're ready to perform. So I'm not saying he won't play for six weeks. But I think to get to his very best level, it will probably take that time. But firstly, before we get to that stage, we need to get him fully 100% fit, and then we can really push him. He's on that road. He's been to see a specialist yesterday. That was a routine appointment."

Wissa (knee) was training on grass this week but remains sidelined for the time being, coach Eddie Howe said in the press conference. "Yoane's had his first time on the grass with us which was great to see. We need to step him up gradually. I know he is desperate to get out and show his worth but it's one step at a time now."

Wissa (knee) has suffered a setback and is now expected to miss eight weeks instead of four to five weeks, according to Keith Downie of Sky Sports.

Wissa (knee) doesn't require surgery and is currently receiving treatment with the aim to be back available for the game against Brighton after the international break, coach Eddie Howe said in the press conference. "He's receiving treatment and no operation is needed. I think we're looking at the other side of the international break. We hope he can be fit and available for that first game."
