2026 Fantasy Outlook
Diakite featured as a rotation-to-regular center back for Bournemouth in 2025/26, logging around 1,275 minutes with no attacking returns under coach Andoni Iraola. His fantasy value is purely defensive, resting on clean sheets and defensive actions, and Bournemouth's decent organization gives that some support. The issue is whether he is a nailed-on starter, as his minutes suggest a shared role rather than an ever-present one. He offers nothing going forward. He is a cheap, deep-league defensive option worth considering only if he locks down a regular starting spot, with clean sheets the entire basis of any appeal.
Limited to reserve role
Diakite has yet to play a minute in the Premier League this season, while making just two appearances across other competitions, including 27 minutes off the bench in the Europa League and 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup.
ANALYSIS
Diakite has been limited to a backup role this season, with James Hill ahead of him in the pecking order at center-back. His lack of Premier League minutes underlines his current position in the squad, though his ability to cover both central defense and right-back provides some additional versatility. Diakite should remain an option for rotation in cup and European fixtures while competing for increased playing time in the league.

But he was still not feeling fully confident. And I hope he can be available also next week. With Bafo we have to see how the week goes."
