German Valera

Valera was one of the few Elche players to feature in almost every match in 2025/26, making 36 appearances and notching nine goal contributions (four goals, five assists) from a wide role on the left flank. Four goals isn't a modest haul for a defensive-minded player who played for a team that struggled with the threat of regulation all season long, but he brings pace and directness, and he should remain a starter under new manager Martin Anselmi. The catch is end product, since his goal and assist numbers have not kept pace with his involvement, so his output does not yet justify a regular fantasy spot. If Anselmi brings a more attacking setup, there is scope for a step up. For now, he is a cheap flier on a player who starts every week but still needs to convert territory into returns.
