Javi Rueda

Rueda emerged as one of Celta's more encouraging young full-backs in 2025/26, chipping in two goals and six assists across 26 La Liga appearances while getting forward at every chance. Six assists is a strong return from the back line and the main reason he holds fantasy appeal, and he backs it with useful defensive volume in 21 interceptions, 20 tackles and 33 clearances. He shared the role rather than owning it, starting 16 games, so the question is whether he pushes on to a fuller role under manager Claudio Giraldez this season. If he does, a defender who creates that many chances carries real upside in formats that reward attacking returns from the back. For now he is an intriguing, low-cost flier whose ceiling hinges on locking down the starting job on the flank.
