Alhassane was a constant presence down the left on his Serie A debut, giving Bologna continuity in possession and cover on a night they controlled the ball without reward. The left-back was at his best going forward, completing 27 passes in the final third, more than anyone else on the pitch, while creating three chances and attempting two crosses, and he held up his end defensively with two tackles, an interception and a block. It was not enough to change the result, but the summer signing from Real Oviedo, brought in as competition for Juan Miranda, made a strong first case for the shirt after sitting out the opener against Lazio.
