Takefusa Kubo

Kubo's 2025/26 was disrupted by injury, holding the Japanese winger to 24 La Liga appearances with two goals and four assists, and those numbers were down from a more productive 2024/25 when he racked up seven goals and four assists across 52 outings in all competitions. When fit, Kubo is Real Sociedad's most creative attacker, a dribbler who draws fouls and creates chances, so the down numbers look more like lost time than decline. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen just how fit he'll be for the start of the 2026/27 season after sustaining an injury with Japan in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Under Pellegrino Matarazzo he is a central figure in the attack when available, and a healthy season should restore his goal-and-assist output. For fantasy he is a mid-priced attacker with real upside if he stays fit, the kind of creative hub who can pile up assists in a Sociedad side that leans on him and his society with Mikel Oyarzabal. The injury risk is the main caveat, but the talent and role make him worth targeting.
