Diamond DeShields

DeShields missed the entire 2023 campaign due to a knee injury but signed with the Sky ahead of the 2024 season and will return to the city where she spent the first four seasons of her career. Despite missing all of last year, she was productive over her past two seasons, which she spent with the Sky and Mercury. During that time, she averaged 12.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 26.1 minutes per game. It's not yet clear whether she'll be healthy for the start of the 2024 campaign, but her health has been one of the biggest issues that has held her back in the WNBA to begin her career. If she can remain on the court this season, she should have a chance to secure a sizable role for a Chicago squad that will be in rebuild mode after losing several key players, including Kahleah Copper, Alanna Smith and Courtney Williams. DeShields is a somewhat risky fantasy target due to her health concerns during her career, but she should provide solid mid-round value if she doesn't struggle too much with injuries in 2024.
