Kozak (ankle) will miss one month with a fractured bone in his ankle.

The sparingly used center forward was finally starting to get some regular action in 2016, starting three consecutive matches in January including the team's only three-match point streak and first win since Aug. 8. He has four goals and an assist in the U21 Premier League, but has yet to break duck in the Premier League. With Rudy Gestede also out this weekend, Villa's already thin attacking options just got thinner.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kozak is set to miss Tuesday's match versus West Ham as he recovers from an ankle injury.

The 26-year-old has not played since exiting in the 64th minute of last week's match versus West Brom, and he apparently has not progressed as quickly as was expected. Scott Sinclair entered the starting lineup at striker for Saturday's match versus Manchester City, although Gabriel Agbonlahor returned as a substitute from an extended absence and could also be a candidate to step in for Kozak.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kozak is questionable to play Tuesday against West Ham because of an ankle injury.

Rudy Gestede (hamstring) is also iffy to play, leaving Villa without two of their more recent front attacking starters. If both miss out, Jordan Ayew could lead the line, with Scott Sinclair also a possibility.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kozak suffered a back injury during his rehab from a knee ailment, and is unlikely to return in the season-finale May 24 against Burnley.

Given the long absence, Kozak wasn't likely to make much of an impact this season anyway, and he'll look to the 2015/16 campaign to fight for a starting job.

Kozak suffered a setback during his rehab from a broken leg and was forced into a second surgery that took place Wednesday.

The Czech striker hasn't appeared in any matches for Aston Villa this season but was close to a comeback from a broken leg suffered back in January. A second procedure Wednesday involved putting a pin in his leg, so a comeback in the near future seems unlikely.

Kozak (leg) is currently able to do light training activities, but he's still expected to miss the beginning of the EPL season, the Birmingham Mail reports.

The fact that Kozak is participating in practice means that he might not be sidelined for long. If healthy, Kozak would be at the forefront of Villa's offensive attack. Instead, fellow teammates Gabriel Agbonlahor, Andreas Weimann and Darren Bent will serve as the team's major threats to score.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Kozak (leg) is progressing nicely through the rehab process but a return to the field before the season starts in mid-August seems doubtful, Sky News reports.

Kozak broke his leg in January, which of course ended his season early, and is threatening to delay his 2014-15 campaign. While manager Paul Lambert is pleased with Kozak's progress, he still thinks that it'd be a bit optimistic to hope for a return before the new EPL season starts. Fellow forward Christian Benteke (Achilles) will also be sidelined at the start of the season, so guys like Gabriel Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann will have a chance for extended time on the pitch.

Kozak suffered a broken leg in training Thursday, and he will miss the rest of the 2013-14 Premier League season, reports.

Kozak had performed relatively well for Villa in his first season since moving from Lazio last summer. With his season done with, Villa will look for Christian Benteke to find his old form, as well as improved performances from Gabriel Agbonlahor and Andreas Weimann.
