Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Monasterio was an unheralded prospect that had a decent debut season in 2023 with a .678 OPS and plus-eight defensive runs saved in 92 games, but he played a lesser role in 2024 with a .575 OPS in 59 contests. The Brewers kept him on the 40-man roster through the non-tender deadline, but he's certainly not guaranteed to retain that spot through the offseason. Even if he sticks around and makes Milwaukee's Opening Day roster, Monasterio isn't likely to have fantasy relevance as a utility bench piece. Read Past Outlooks

Back with big club

ANALYSIS
Monasterio slashed just .208/.303/.272 over 59 games with Milwaukee last season. He will be used as a utility infielder.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Run of playing time nearing end
Willy Adames could return from the 7-day concussion injured list Thursday, according to Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which should lead to a reduction in playing time, and possibly a demotion, for Monasterio.
ANALYSIS
Monasterio isn't in the lineup Tuesday against the Orioles but started the previous five games for the Brewers, and he's played well over his first seven big-league contests with a .985 OPS. The 26-year-old doesn't have much prospect pedigree, but his hot start could earn him a longer look in the majors with fellow rookie Brice Turang going 1-for-40 in his past 14 games. Abraham Toro will also be in the mix to be sent down given he has just five plate appearances since being called up last week.
