Mike Brosseau
Mike Brosseau
26-Year-Old Second Baseman2B
Tampa Bay Rays
2020 Fantasy Outlook
Brosseau ascended quickly through Tampa Bay's system, going from High-A ball to the majors in only two years. He has wielded an effective bat at every minor-league level and earned his callup to Tampa Bay last season after slashing .304/.394/.567 with 16 home runs in 315 plate appearences with Triple-A Durham. Brosseau continued to hit with the big club, batting .322 over his first month and finishing with a .273 average and .329 wOBA. He showed some punch at the plate to boot, tallying six home runs and seven doubles en route to a .189 ISO. Brosseau came to the Rays as a free agent after going undrafted in 2016, but he has taken the opportunity and run with it, hitting over .300 in all but one of his minor-league campaigns. He isn't expected to be an everyday player in 2020, but with his steady bat and ability to field multiple positions, Brosseau could fill an important utility role for the Rays. Read Past Outlooks

Returns to lineup
2BTampa Bay Rays
September 25, 2020
Brosseau (oblique) will bat sixth and play third base Friday against the Phillies, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
An oblique issue has kept Brosseau on the shelf since Saturday. Despite primarily being an option against lefties this season, he'll start Friday even with righty Vince Velasquez on the hill for Philadelphia.
