2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Brewers and those rostering Wilken in dynasty leagues will hope that 2024 was a lost season and that he'll recapture some prospect shine in 2025. The hulking 6-foot-4 third baseman was hit on the face by a fastball on April 11 and had to wear a face cage on his helmet for the rest of the season to protect multiple facial fractures. He hit .199 on with a .312 on-base percentage, 28.2 percent strikeout rate and 17 home runs in 108 games at Double-A, which was still above-average production (105 wRC+) in the Southern League. Strikeouts were the main concern with Wilken coming out of Wake Forest, and he's a bad athlete and runner, so high batting averages were likely never in the cards. However, he's still 22 and has a chance to log quality on-base percentages with enough power to profile at an infield corner. If it's more of the same in 2025, he'll plummet down prospect rankings even further, but there's a chance the 2023 first rounder will look more like the middle-of-the-order masher the Brewers thought they were getting in the draft now that he won't need to wear the extra helmet protection. There's a decent chance Wilken will eventually move to first base, but he has plenty of arm for third base. Read Past Outlooks

June 26, 2025
Wilken will be sidelined for 8-to-10 weeks after being diagnosed with a dislocated patella tendon in his left knee, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Analysis
Wilken suffered the injury while celebrating Double-A Biloxi's first-half championship. He will not require surgery but will be shelved until at least mid-August. The 23-year-old is one of Milwaukee's top prospects and is slashing .230/.392/.550 with 18 home runs over 283 plate appearances with Biloxi in 2025.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Wilken is a physically imposing 6-foot-4, 225-pound third baseman with the potential for 70-grade power. There were significant hit tool concerns coming into his junior year at Wake Forest, but Wilken cut his strikeout rate from 24.2 percent as a sophomore to 17.4 percent as a junior while also upping his walk rate from 11.6 percent to 21.6 percent. He took advantage of the Demon Deacons' hitter-friendly home park and slashed an absurd .357/.516/.835 with 31 home runs in 64 games during his final year. Given his size and below-average speed, Wilken could end up lacking the agility to play third base at the highest level, but if he makes enough contact, his bat should profile at the bottom of the defensive spectrum. He hits right-handed and is several months younger than most of the other top college hitters in the class. Wilken posted a 148 wRC+ and 21.3 percent strikeout rate in 34 games at High-A, but he hit .217 with nine strikeouts in six games at Double-A to close the year. A full season split between Double-A and Triple-A seems to be in the cards for the potential middle-of-the-order slugger.

Debut possible in 2024
3BMilwaukee Brewers  AA
March 5, 2024
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Tuesday "it's a possibility" Misiorowski makes his MLB debut this season, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Analysis
The 18th overall pick in the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Wilken made his professional debut last summer and made his way to Double-A Biloxi by the end of the campaign. He had an .887 OPS in 203 plate appearances across three levels, and he'll likely return to Biloxi to begin 2024 since he played in just six games there. Wilken could continue his rapid ascent with a strong start to the season, so it's not a major surprise to hear Murphy allowing for the possibility of the 21-year-old potentially debuting this year, even if it isn't likely.
