                2025 Fantasy Outlook

Hill has some extreme moments on his resume. He has struck out 151 batters in 106.2 innings of work in the minor leagues, which is notable no matter where you pitch. However, Hill has also put up a 6.33 ERA and a 1.58 WHIP in that time, and the Rockies moved him to a full-time reliever role this past season to help him move up the organization. He pitched mostly in Double-A Hartford, where he had an 18.4 percent K-BB percentage before finishing the year with a rough 19 innings between Triple-A and Colorado. Hill is a hard thrower with sink to his fastball, and that combination could work in Colorado. When he is facing lefties, he slings a changeup as his secondary pitch and uses a sweeper when facing righties. The sample size is too small at the big league level to take anything from it, so the focus now should be on his impressive strikeout rate in the minors. Hill has a history of his stuff exceeding his results dating back to his collegiate years, and the Colorado bullpen is always a wide open chance for someone to break out. Summoned from Triple-A
The Rockies recalled Hill from Triple-A Albuquerque on Sunday.
                  Analysis
Hill will be up with Colorado for the second time this season after he previously made three relief appearances in April. The right-hander has maintained excellent ratios (3.72 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB) in 17.2 innings at Triple-A this season, but he'll likely operate as a low-leverage reliever for the Rockies initially.
