FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday brings another busy night in the NBA with eight games on the schedule. The showcase game of the evening will be a good one as the Cavaliers face the Celtics. The Spurs, Warriors and Raptors are all in action as well, leaving a lot of elite talent to choose from for you FanDuel entry. Here are some of the better plays to consider for the evening.

Isaiah Thomas, BOS vs. CLE ($8,500): The Celtics are trying to finish with the best record in the Eastern Conference and a win Wednesday against the Cavaliers could go a long ways to eventually achieving that goal. Thomas scored 31 points on his way to 42.9 FanDuel points in his last matchup against the Cavaliers a little over a month ago. The Cavaliers allow the seventh most FanDuel points per game to opposing point guards, so look for another big performance from Thomas.

Ish Smith, DET vs. TOR ($5,500): Smith will start again Wednesday against the Raptors as Reggie Jackson (knee) continues to miss time. Smith has played at least 31 minutes and scored at least 26.3 FanDuel points in each of his last four games. Not only did he score at least 15 points in all four of those games, but he also grabbed at least four rebounds and dished out at least five assists in each of them. The price is right to roll with him Wednesday.

Lou Williams, HOU vs. DEN ($4,600): The Rockets are dealing with some injuries down the stretch, resulting in Williams playing at least 30 minutes in four of his last five games. While he hasn't put up crazy numbers, he has scored at least 22.1 FanDuel points in each of his last four games. He gets to face a Nuggets squad who allows the most FanDuel points per game to opposing shooting guards, making him a nice cheap option Wednesday.

Nikola Jokic, DEN at HOU ($10,000): Jokic continues to provide well rounded stat lines and has scored at least 40.4 FanDuel points in each of his last three games as a result. The Nuggets are still trying to make a playoff push, so expect them to rely heavily on Jokic again to try and get them there. The Rockets aren't a great defensive team up front, so look for Jokic to be his usual productive self in this contest.

T.J. Warren, PHO vs. GS ($6,700): Warren (illness) did not play in the Suns' last game Sunday, but he looks to be ready to go Wednesday against the Warriors. He has scored at least 34.5 FanDuel points in three of his last four games as he has been logging heavy minutes with so many players sitting out for the Suns. He presents an excellent mid-tier priced open again in this contest.

Larry Nance Jr., LAL at SA ($4,100): Nance played 40 minutes Sunday against the Grizzlies and managed to score 37.3 FanDuel points. The Lakers are giving their young players some extra playing time down the stretch, so look for Nance to continue to see increased playing time Wednesday. The Spurs are certainly a tough defensive opponent, but Nance is still worth a shot based on this dirt cheap price.

DeAndre Jordan, LAC vs. DAL ($8,100): Jordan provides a ton of value in terms of rebounds and blocked shots as he has at least 10 rebounds and two blocks in six of his last eight games. He's been steady on the offensive end as well, resulting in at least 33.9 FanDuel points in each of his last four games. These same two teams met less than two weeks ago and Jordan scored 41.1 FanDuel points. Expect him to have another big performance Wednesday.

Andre Drummond, DET vs. TOR ($7,300): Drummond has scored nine points or less in five of his last six games, but he has been able to offset those troubles by averaging 13.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks over that six game stretch. He has had success against the Raptors as he scored at least 34.6 FanDuel points in both of the last two games he played them. Look for him to continue his ways on the glass and defensive end in this contest.

Clint Capela, HOU vs. DEN ($5,500): Capela continues to plug along for the Rockets as he has scored at least 24.9 FanDuel points in seven of his last eight games. He doesn't log a ton of minutes, but he has still managed to grab at least seven rebounds in each of his last eight games. You shouldn't expect a huge performance Wednesday, but Capela is still a viable option at this price.
