The 2019-20 campaign marked Wade's rookie season. After going unselected in the 2019 NBA Draft, Wade signed two-way contract with the Cavaliers in June. Over the season, Wade played in 12 NBA games for Cleveland and 30 G League contests with the Canton Charge. He made his NBA debut with the Cavaliers on Nov. 18 against the Knicks. Wade played nine minutes and posted one steal. Over his 12 NBA games, Wade averaged 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.9 minutes per game. With the Cavs, he shot 9-of-13 from the field and 2-of-4 from three. He set single-game career highs of six points, eight rebounds, three blocks, one steal and one assist. On Jan. 14, he had is best game with six points, eight rebounds and three blocks in 14 minutes of run during a road loss to the Clippers. On Mar. 16, Wade set a career high with 16 minutes played against the Celtics and recorded two points, two rebounds, one assist and one block. With Cleveland, Wade spent 84 percent of his minutes at power forward and 17 percent of his minutes at center. With Canton, Wade averaged 14.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks over 31.1 minutes per G League contest. On Feb. 23 with the Charge, Wade posted 29 points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks during a win over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants.
